My girlfriend and I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton London Excel for 3 nights and it is a great hotel. On arrival, The reception staff upgraded us to a King Room with View and gave us a hot cookie which was a nice touch. When we entered the room, we noticed that it was a feather duvet and pillows. My girlfriend is allergic to feathers so we asked reception if they could change the duvet and pillows, in which they were more than happy to help and had changed it over within 5 minutes. Very kind and helpful staff. Clean rooms with a nice view. Ideal location next to London City airport and the DLR is a 5 minute walk away. Great hotel.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall comfort of our stay. We especially enjoyed the restaurant—the breakfast was a highlight, with a fantastic selection and a delicious traditional English breakfast. While we wouldn’t call it the best place we’ve ever stayed, it was definitely a solid, reliable choice for comfort and convenience in the city.

We were given warm cookies on arrival, an unexpected added bonus. Breakfast, very good choice, everything you could possibly want We had one evening meal at the hotel and the food was fantastic. Exceptionally clean and modern hotel with a great bar area to relax in the evenings. Will definitely book again in the future.

Special thanks to the manager, Naveed, Ben, and all the housekeeping staff, they all went above and beyond to ensure that I had a comfortable and safe stay. Likewise, I enjoyed the delicious breakfast and calm atmosphere in the restaurant every morning. The friendly attitude from all the staff is commendable.
